About The Employee Advocate

The Employee Advocate was established after observing how isolating it can be to face a workplace problem alone, whether that's a disciplinary process, a bullying complaint, a restructure or a dispute that's dragged on too long. 

I've seen too many people going into meetings with their employer unsupported, not knowing their rights, or not having anyone to help them think clearly under pressure.

The name says what we do. We're on your side, we help you find your voice in situations where it's easy to feel unheard, and we make sure your rights are understood and respected throughout.

We support you through the parts of a workplace matter that are hardest to face alone. That includes advocacy and case support from the first conversation through to resolution, and correspondence and document drafting when you need to put something in writing and want it to land the right way.

We help you prepare for meetings with your employer, whether that's a disciplinary hearing, a performance conversation or a return to work discussion, so you go in knowing what to expect and what to say. If you'd like someone there with you, we attend as your support person and take notes so you can focus on the conversation instead of trying to remember every detail afterwards.

We also review policies, procedures and paperwork relevant to your matter, checking what your employer is required to do and whether they're doing it. 

Workplace problems rarely arrive with a clear instruction manual, and it's hard to think straight when your job, your income or your reputation feels like it's on the line. That's where we come in. We give you an experienced, impartial voice in your corner, someone who knows the processes your employer will follow and can help you understand what's actually happening and what your options are.

We're not a law firm, and we won't pretend to be one. What we offer is practical, hands on support: help preparing for meetings, help drafting what you need to say, someone in the room with you if you want it, and a steady head when things feel overwhelming. Most people who come to us just want to feel less alone in a difficult situation, and to know someone is genuinely on their side. That's what we're here for.
